Well, another Film Festival has come and gone in Toronto. The powers that be are wondering why wasn't it as exciting, headline grabbing and memorable as past Festivals. There are many answers to that question but the short version is this. The Festival was once intimate, with theaters close together, buzz on the street etc. Now, its all about perception, it's not the "Toronto International Film Festival" any longer, it's TIFF, yes TIFF, keep worrying about easy anagrams instead of what made the Festival great in the first place and instead of TIFF, you will have KISS as in Kiss the festival goodbye.
